Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation Gives APS $30,000 Grant
The Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL is pleased to announce it has received a $30,000 from the Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation. 100% of grant funds will be used to purchase supplies so that 990 women and girls can have stress-free periods for an entire year. The period products will be distributed throughout Collier and Lee counties at more than 200 locations.
“We are grateful for the continued support of the Shadow Wood Charitable Foundation,” said Dusti Beaubien, the president and founder of the Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL. “Shadow Wood recognizes that period supplies are a basic necessity that is needed to keep girls in school and women at work. We applaud their commitment to serve their neighbors in SWFL.”
These funds will be used to purchase 285,120 period products for at-risk women and girls as APS of SWFL continues working to end period poverty in Southwest Florida. The stress of not having access to needed period supplies is just another obstacle for women and girls who living in poverty.
The Shadow Wood Foundation provides over $1Million in grants and scholarships from money raised through events and donations supported by Shadow Wood residents. The Foundation provides Shadow Wood residents with a simple and trustworthy way to express their compassion and support for neighbors in need.
